Will you bring hope to someone like Zaina this Easter?
In Mozambique, hope is hard to come by. Communities are living with poverty, disease, and starvation. Deadly cyclones have killed thousands. Imagine facing extreme conditions like this and then discovering you had leprosy?
This Easter, you have an amazing opportunity to restore hope in Mozambique. A gift from you today will help build a hub of hope where people can be trained as Leprosy Changemakers who will lead the fight against the disease. People like Zaina.
Zaina was a young mother when she first noticed patches on her skin - the tell-tale first sign of leprosy. Her neighbours were afraid of the disease and banished her from the village, telling her to go and live in the bush. But a single act of kindness from a stranger turned Zaina’s life around. She was taken to see a health worker and cured of leprosy. After receiving training at her local hub, she’s now determined to do the same for others.
Show your unconditional love to people like Zaina this Easter and the UK government will double your donation before 24 April, making twice the impact. From this moment on, your support can help give people the chance to determine their own future, free from the stigma of leprosy. That’s unconditional.
